About
Here at StateLawTV, we believe that knowledge is power. When injury victims understand their legal rights and the challenges they face, they can then make the best possible decisions for themselves and their families.
In the summer of 1977, my 42 year old father was killed by a drunk driver. My Mother was 41 and had 5 children between the ages of 7 and 20. As you can imagine my father’s death radically changed all of our lives.
My mother did not receive anything from either insurance company. Her perspective was that she didn’t want to sue anyone; it just didn’t seem like a very nice thing to do. And because of that perspective, she did not feel comfortable hiring a personal injury lawyer.
How often so many others have that same perspective and just accept what an insurance company may or may not offer.
If only we had been educated to understand that lawyers sue insurance companies—not individuals—and suing the insurance company is the only way to hold them accountable. We all need insurance. But most accident victims and their families are unaware that insurance agents are trained to make sure that you get as little as possible when a claim is filed.
My purpose in sharing my mother’s story is to help you understand that if you are seriously injured through the fault of someone else, you should contact an experienced personal injury lawyer for a free consultation to make sure your legal rights are protected. If you don’t have a lawyer, I suggest that you contact one of the experienced personal injury lawyers that have been handpicked and recommended at StateLawTV.com.
StateLawTV was built in an effort to educate, entertain and engage you. We hope to grow a community of friends that together advocate for injured people. On this StateLawTV site you will find experienced, quality lawyers, as well as other relevant services and support groups that we believe will help injured people and their families navigate the complex landscape that follows a serious injury.
We at StateLawTV would like to continue this outreach through social media. We invite you to join us by becoming a part of our social networks, and we look forward to becoming a part of yours.
